Objectives

DNA-Prokids 1st International Conference DNA: genetic identification against children trafficking will be attended by scientists, international organizations, NGOs, heads of security forces and judicial experts. Its aim is to establish a world alliance against traffic in human beings through new technologies for genetic identification.

The Conference Objectives focus on five main fields:

  1. International awareness about human trafficking, specially children, and the possibility to use measures that hinder and solve this problem, such as DNA genetic identification;
  2. Promotion and establishment, within the legislative framework of each country, of a genetic identification system for children outside their families and those put into adoption, to avoid illegal adoptions.
  3. Fulfilment and coordination of technical and analytic protocols of sample collection, analysis, encryption, and national and international comparison of world compatible data. Systematization of an exchange protocol of data, alerts and searches through DNA, to avoid traffic in human beings.
  4. Organization of meetings of scientists to coordinate genetic identification methods and protocols, and of legal experts, to study specific legislations in each country.
  5. Agreement about actual training needs of professionals to fight against human trafficking (health, judicial and police staff).
